Our Mandate: As a state registered Private Voluntary Organization (PVO 11/22), our mandate is to complement government efforts in providing care for orphaned and less privileged children within Zimbabwe. We understand the challenges faced by these children – the lack of familial support, educational opportunities, and economic stability. Therefore, we are committed to addressing these challenges head-on.
Our Mission: At Golden Hearts, our mission is clear: to promote a holistic, context-specific, and empowering family-based approach to the care of orphaned and vulnerable children. We believe that every child deserves the chance to grow up in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment, regardless of their circumstances.
Our Approach: We believe in taking a comprehensive approach to child welfare, addressing not only the immediate needs of food, shelter, and education but also the long-term needs of emotional support, skill development, and community integration. Through our programs, we aim to provide:
